(17/02/2015) I am thrilled to have been selected as one of the installation artists to receive a free space to exhibit my work at this year's Artist Project. In its eighth year, the Artist Project is one of the most anticipated annual art fairs in Toronto, showcasing over 250 top contemporary artists from Canada and abroad. I will be showing a re-worked, installation version of Purge/Octahedron, dubbed Purge/Octahedron Redux, made especially for this show. Hope to see you there this weekend!

(26/06/2013) Suspended Man will be on view at Project Gallery, a recently opened contemporary art gallery in the Leslieville neighbourhood of Toronto, in a new exhibition entitled PERPETUAL MOTION. The exhibition will feature works that "explore cyclical and perpetual systems, showcase the wonder and awe of motion, and point to the contrast between stillness and dynamism." Works in the show cover a wide range of media, including painting, video, sculpture, photography, illustration, and performance.

(10/06/2013) "There are places we find ourselves where light fades and darkness arrives." DARKNESS AT THE EDGE is about those moments of liminality. Curated by Thom Sokoloski, 36 works by Canadian and international artists were selected which the curator hopes will "not only conjure up each artist's response to liminality but also provoke a momentary mirror into each of our own." I am thrilled that my piece Shards was one of the works selected, and I look forward to being a part of this exciting show.

(26/04/2013) For the third consecutive year, one of my works has been selected for the Latcham Gallery's Annual Juried Exhibition. I am looking forward to showing a new piece of mine, entitled XYZ, at the show, which runs from April 27th to June 1st. This year's jurors were Katerina Atanassova, curator from The McMichael Canadian Art Collection, Laura Millard, artist and professor at OCADU and Sean McQuay, artist and professor from Durham College. 34 works were selected from a total of 240 submitted. It promises to be a great show!

(03/02/2013) Come join us for the opening reception of the Black and White Ball III at the Propeller Centre for the Visual Arts this Thursday, the 7th, from 7 to 10pm. Inspired by Truman Capote's 1966 Black and White Ball, all artworks in the show are black and/or white in colour, and capture the intrigue of the original, historic event. I am excited to be participating in my first show at PCVA as a new member artist, and look forward to exhibiting regularly at this great artist-run gallery.

It was an honour and pleasure to participate in this year's Canadian Sculpture Competition, and to have received an Honourable Mention for my piece entitled Deliverance. (05/06/2012) I am thrilled to announce that I have been selected as one of the finalists for this year's National Sculpture Competition at Kingsbrae Garden in St. Andrews, New Brunswick. Open to all Canadian artists, it is the largest annual outdoor sculpture competition in the country. Covering an area of 27 acres, Kingsbrae Garden is one of the top horticultural gardens in North America, with a garden dedicated to exhibiting sculpture. All of the finalists' works will be on display at the Garden for the 2012 season, along with the works of past winners.

(14/04/2012) Suspended Man travels to Stouffville, Ontario for the 2012 JURIED ART EXHIBITION at the Latcham Gallery. I am delighted to be selected once again to participate in this annual show. This year's jurors were James Campbell, Executive Director and Curator of the Visual Arts Centre of Clarington; Marlene Hilton Moore, former Professor at the Georgian College School of Design and Visual Arts; and Greg Murphy, Dean of the School of Media, Art and Design, Durham College, Oshawa, Ontario. Show opens April 14th, and runs until May 26th. Don't miss it!

(16/11/2011) GREEN SPACES is the theme of the third annual exhibit by artists of the Al Green Sculpture Studio. Sculpture maquettes, created to demonstrate how finished work will fit into a proposed site, are works of art in their own right. Proceeds from this exhibition will be donated in part to Art City, a not-for-profit organization that provides free accessible art programs for elementary school age children living in St. James Town.

This years juror is Mary Birmingham, Director of Exhibitions of the Hunterdon Art Museum. 50 pieces of contemporary art were selected from over 433 entries submitted. I am thrilled to be participating in this exciting show!
